Cooking is the mutual language between the cook and me. With this tasty tool, I’m trying to reveal the person behind the apron, to get to know his or her story.
I used to be a journalist but instead I became a filmmaker and a blogger. Working in TV for 13 years in Hungary - 11 years for the news department at SBS and RTL group - my focus was to look for the person behind the story. In 2012, I moved to the Netherlands to gain new experiences. This blog is about my newfound friends.
Colours, aromas, textures - these are the most important things in food. In the early afternoons, I always begin thinking about what to cook for dinner. Being in the kitchen is never a chore for me.
When I was little, my father taught me that quality is far more important than quantity. So for me, preparation and serving are the most exciting parts, because every dish deserves respect - ‘Comme il faut!’ This blog is about my enthusiasm.
WhatTheFood is Holland’s coolest gastro blog based on films. Although we are not necessarily concentrating on the food itself but on its maker, the chef. Food becomes what the chef wants it to be. We make portraits of interesting people, their joy, throwbacks and passion. If you have a personal story, share it with us!
